Default Participating in guildwars guru auction gets account banned?

I just had my guildwars account banned as code = 45 illegal use of third party software. Then sent an email to GM, the reply was that I was invovled with selling guildwars item for real money. The only trading I could relate is guildwars guru auction. Does it really break the contract?
This probably should be in "absurd" section lol. My guess is that they do not understand English as I have my copy from Taiwan. Any ideas?? o_O

Lots of people use guildwarsguru auction.

Selling/buying on gwg is not against the rules, because you are NOT using real money.

I'm not going to get involved with why you have been banned, because it is no buisness of mine.

the fact they mentioned third party software makes it sound like you (at least as far as they think) downloaded some kind of software that is meant to assist you in the selling of gw items for real money (perhaps some kind of auction different to ebay). *shrugs*

that is the key right there.

whatever software you used tripped a flag and when they identified the software you got booted.

there is a warning against 3rd party software on the login screen

Well, from my understanding from otehr folks who have been banned, your best bet, if it is an unjust banning, is to pop off a chain of emails to ANet support, beyond that good luck. You were using a bot or such... well, you got your just desserts.

my account was banned with the exact same explanation, but the thing was i have never used or downloaded any 3rd party programs. after constantly spamming anet with emails, i got access to my account the next day, along with an apology this has also happened to other people i have played with, their account being banned for "illegal use of third party programs". in these instances, from what they have told me, they had never used or downloaded in third party programs. i do not know if this is the case for you, but your best bet is to flood them with emails. it seems to work.

Another Idea is a hacker hacked the GW database, and banned random people for fun, or banned people as revenge for something.

Anet will usually unban you if you are innocent if you spam-email them til they do.

That works even if their auto-response to you something like "we aren't hearing any emails from you, because we studied into this and KNOW you broke said rule".

Thank you all for replying. I have been sending mails to both NC and NCT, but it seems like the whole thing keeps runing in circle. First they accused me of using bot, then after the long wait they called me a GW to cash profiteer, then the long wait again. I don't think they even know why I was banned. In a way I am glad they do ban those who deserve to be banned, but I don't think simple apologies are enough for those of us who were banned for no legit reasons. It's more about being insulted and framed.
